Falcons basketball falls in home opener

On Monday November 27th, basketball opened up their season against Alvernia University. In the first quarter, Alvernia ended on top with 22 points to the falcons 13. However, in the second quarter, the falcons held their own producing 17 points to Alvernia’s 18. This left the Falcons trailing 40-30 at halftime.  

The third quarter wasn’t too point heavy, and both teams held their own offensively and defensively. Cedar Crest scored 11 points, and Alvernia scored 7. Wrapping up the game, Alvernia scored 26 points and the Falcons only 7. The final score of this game was 73-48 in Alvernias favor. 

Although, this was a rough start to the home season, the Falcons are looking forward to growing and improving this season.
